Helky Castro: Returning to Life Through Faith

Helky Castro’s story is a powerful testimony of resilience, courage, and faith. What began as a routine medical examination completely transformed her life. She spent five months in the hospital, underwent 23 surgeries, endured the loss of her baby, and faced the amputation of both her hands and feet.

Confronted with a reality that seemed impossible to accept, Helky began a profound journey of physical, emotional, and spiritual rebuilding. Over time, she transformed her pain into purpose and found in her own experience a way to support and inspire others facing difficult circumstances.

Her story is captured in the book De Nuevo a la Vida, whose second installment has now also been published. Through these works, she shares her journey of adaptation, strength, and hope.

Today, Helky shows that returning to life does not always mean recovering what was lost, but discovering a new way to move forward, live with gratitude, and find meaning even after life’s most difficult trials.
