Jakelin Del Carmen Romero Melgar, known professionally as Jakelin Melgar, is an entrepreneur and community leader with a strong presence across the Washington, DC, Virginia, and Maryland metropolitan area. She serves as President and Travel Specialist with Dream Vacations / Affordable Travel Agency, LLC, and is the founder of Viajes con Propósito, LLC, a humanitarian initiative launching in 2026. She is also the President of Latinas Networking, LLC and Jakelin Melgar & Associates, LLC, which is currently expanding as a multiservice agency. Jakelin made history as the first Latina appointed as a Commissioner and member of the Manassas Regional Airport Commission in Virginia, and brings experience from the governmental, legal, and nonprofit sectors, including work with FEMA and as an immigration paralegal. Her work centers on women’s empowerment, community well-being, and business growth within the Latino community.
